"Don't Just Sit There 2006" comedy night benefiting the Scholarship Fund for SCI Recovery was a sell-out HIT... literally!!! On November 12 Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle was packed with people supporting SCI recovery and the Scholarship Fund. With an attendance of just over 300 we raised $80,000 which directly supports the recipients of the Scholarship Fund. It was nice to see returning faces in the crowd and to the stage as well but we happily welcomed the many newcomers that heard about our event through XM Satellite Radio, family and friends.
Speaking of new faces - this year we welcomed Dr. Steven Davies to the stage, a research scientist out of Baylor University in Texas, that presented cutting edge new findings that will hopefully lead to a cure for spinal cord injury. We look forward to hearing much more from him in the future...
